best 'country boots'?

As title really..

I have my own.horse & i work.in a kennels so majority of my time is outdoors but im really strugglingvto find good footwear!
Wellies freeze my feet in winter(i have bad circulation.anyway),boil them in summer & all pairs split and leak :(
My muckas split & leaked and were too short for deep mud.

So any good footwear?
Dubarrys are out as too expensive.
Need to be fully waterproof,long,warm,breathable & pref able to ride in them as well as yard/kennel work!

So far suggested/researched options are:
Kty lake boots?
Dublin river boots?
Toggi canyons?

Suggestions & opinions please :)
 
Dublin river boots are good, comfortable and warm!! But I have to admit that I did buy some Dubarrys and they have lasted around 4 years and worth every penny!

Yes, that is the only complaint I had for them, the lining did come away but they never leaked it was just a pain when trying to get them off. Not sure if this has improved in the newer versions though? My friend has the Toggi boots and she has had them for years and they seem really good, you can ride in them too! :D
 
I have just bought some toggi canyon boots and I love them!! They are very warm and comfortable. I have recently given up on hunter wellies as they don't seem to last longer than a few months without splitting and are too expensive to keep replacing!
Just out of interest does anyone know the best was to clean and look after toggi canyons?
 
I got the canyons for Christmas and at first they rubbed my heels raw! Also one has already split (where material meets rubber on side of sole) about an inch long. However, now broken in they are really comfy and have kept my feet toastie warm.
 
Have a look at Sherwood Forest Daltons (there are others in the range too) I had these given to me last winter and they have been fantastic, really warm, waterproof and comfortable.
 
I wouldn't recommend the Dublin River Boots to be honest, they don't last long at all. I had mine for less than six months and the lining ripped by the heel. They don't leak though. They tended to slip down and bulk up around my ankles when I rode in them too - I couldn't tighten the laces any more as the leather had ripped at the top!! Not worth the money in my opinion. I've gone back to MH boots & chaps for now and will be saving up for some ariats :D
 
Dont laugh but best boots I ve had for years came from Aldi!! Warm,waterproof,comfy and really good non slip soles-all for about 20quid-I ve had loads of good stuff from there-their running gear & thermal stuff is brill xxx
 
Had lots of these boots-

Rydale - not comfy, fake leather splits and is plasticky
Dublin- lining squashes down then rips but v comfy
Ariat grassmeres-love and ride in daily
Dubarrys- love but just for best
Aigle ISO Welles- love comfy warm wear daily
 
I love, love, love my Ariat Windemere's - super comfy, toasty warm (and I have really bad circulation), and have held up well in the ankle deep mud this winter. I ride in them daily too and no problems, though the Grassmeres are better for riding.
 
I had a pair of Dublin River boots and they lasted less than a year, lining came away, started to leak and looked shabby. I invested in a pair of Dubarry's off of ebay (so got a better deal) and they have lasted two years of hard hard wear and they are still going strong and still look pretty good. They might be twice the cost of other boots but boy do they live up to their reputation. Can't recommend them enough.
 
I've had a pair of Dublin River boots for 2 years, worn them every day and trashed them, I really havn't looked after them whatsoever. They've got a tiny little hold in the lining, and only after going hunting on foot in the snow have the started to let in water if they're soaked. I'd have another pair!
 
Just to add, I too have kennels and be aware that the cleaning agents will be very hard on any leather boots so keep them well protected. I got great wear from toggi canyon boots but they looked tatty after a few months when they went all baggy around the ankles. they stood up to mud and kennel cleaning really well though and were very comfy. I now have grasmeres and i absolutely love them, worth every penny.....dont clean kennels in them tho. like them too much!!!!!
 
Im really impressed with my HKM belmond boots! So comfy and warm and although after a year the lining has come away (which makes them tricky to get off) the outside is looking pretty good! They have lasted longest out of every other boot iv tried and they have been warn literally every day since I got them, for the first 6 months they were on my feet atleast 14hours a day, mucking out, riding, walking through long grass/mud so thoroughly tested!!
 
Ariat Grasmeres, don't know your budget but you can get them for about £180 I think.
Mine have lasted years and I muck out, ride, walk, everything in them pretty much every day! They're 100% waterproof and warm and really comfortable to ride in too. You are probably better off buying something like Grasmeres than River Boots as Grasmeres will last you at least 2 years, whereas the life of the Dublins seems very short.
