I had an equilibrium one a few years ago and my horse took it off every day. Gave up with it in the end! Now I use a Horseware one - nice big velcro strap, huuuge ears and the mesh seems pretty tough. Has lasted 2 years so far and she hasn't had it off once
I have the Horseware one with ears but he can get it off but not every day, having said that he does do handstands and forward rolls to make sure he gets every bit of his body rubbed in a roll
I have tried the horseware and the premier equine, he manages to always get them off, it is a standing joke at the yard that I have to play hunt the fly mask everyday.
in fact last week I found one that we thought had been lost for good whilst retrieving a rug that one of the other horses had managed to get off.
I thought about getting one with a zip but i'm told that the zips become impossible to use if they get mud on them.
will be interested to find out other people answers.
I gave up using one on my big mare, as she had sweet talked one of the geldings in the next door field to take it off for her. Ever time I put it on, she stuck her head over the fence and would grand it between the ears and yank it off for her
Definitely Farnam Supermasks- they last for years and years and stay put, one of my boys used to wriggle out of his last one, but he can't do it in these.
You can buy them online from Leslie Sutcliffe Saddlery and also horsesupplements.com sell them too.
i have a cashel one now but for all of them (assuming they have a hole for forelock) i take a little bit of mane thru the forelock hole then 2 more bits of mane and plait it that keeps it safe - i use mine for sun protection on the nose too so do this to stop her getting it off easily as dont want burnt nose!!
