question in title really, what are the best gloves for eventing/jumping/everday? I had the ariat tek grip ones, but they have eventually died in a year, so was wondering if anyone had any better ideas. As long as not too scary, price isn't too much of a problem as gloves are too important not to splash out on.

I have Roeckl gloves, bought them last year and they still look like brand new. They are a bit pricey, but very much worth the money.

Mac-wets, last for ever, used to have Roeckls, still do for dressage but they wear quick for everyday, but the Mac-wets last ages and are good in all conditions, and reins types.

Mac wets. Nothing else compares for wear, grip and comfort as far as I am concerned. GO for the longer length ones
I've worn them for years now and wouldn't go for anything else... and I am a fussy so and so :)

They make 2 kinds, one is thicker than the other. I use the thin ones with the mesh back all year round. If it's really cold I stick some cheap (e.g Tesco) fingerless gloves over the top so I can still feel with my fingers but don't get cold hands.

I prefer the short cuff ones as I found the long cuffs caught on my watch strap ;)
