Best (long lasting) yard broom

Having gone through yard brooms at a rate of one a year and earlier this year spending what seemed like 'too much' on a very good quality broom, I am now heading into winter with a broom which has worn away it's bristles and is ready for the Broom Farm to run free with all the others I have retired over the years.
So what do you recommend for a reliable, hardy, good brushing broom?

We have this one in work coming up 2yrs.

I have a similar style but not as wide a head on it from either B&M or Home Bargains it's black and yellow again about 2yrs old
 
i love my red gorilla broom, the “witch” one. my mum hates it! had the cheap versions and i just kill them, but this one is still going strong.
 
See, I really like my Gorilla broom. Used daily for mucking out, scrubbing with Disinfectant and yard sweeping! It's 5 years old and going strong

I have a huge block paving area infront of my stables where my round bales are on pallets so it can get messy, I use a leaf blower on that as it is not easy to sweep so I end up doing the yard area and our whole garden and patio area gets done with it as well and I can honestly say they are really good if you have alot of areas to sweep.

I have the Gorilla ones they are heavy and the bristles are all bent now, and one huge bristle one livery has an amazing broom, long bristles and MEGA lightweight I love it and will get one.

Borstiq Farmers Brooms​

 
After going through 2 heads of a cheap B&Q broom in 5 years I snapped the handle - which meant I could finally get my first flicky broom and I am in heaven. It's very like @ILuvCowparsely's Borstiq but just from our local farm shop. And I tested all of them to get the flickiest when sweeping away - sounds daft but I was told it made a difference which way they were attached.

If anyone wants a Gorilla broom, I have one at home. I hate it.
 
Bentley Bulldozers are absolutely fantastic. I've got three around the house and stables. I jad to protect them from the builders as they'd never used such good brushes. The other great one that a friend had on the livery yard, was a Wolf-Garten one. Her dad was a professional gardener and that's the only brand he would ever use.
 
Borstiq farmers broom is great. A decent broom has made such a difference in life.

ETA this shop will post them. Not many places will ship a broom. Smart grooming was the other one, from memory.
 
Love this thread, I'm obsessed with brooms. I love my Bentley's 24" Coco broom for sweeping up the soft stuff, but I have yet to find a good yard brush for when it's wet. I have one that I got with fuel that's pretty good but it doesn't have a wide head. I've tried loads and eventually bought the red gorilla one, but I hate it with a passion. I find it cumbersome and it glides over the straw and hay that clings to wet concrete. I'm going to try a Borstiq broom now, based on the recommendations above.
 
I do hope you're all naming your brooms for maximum performance?

Thread 'Yard Brush'

I'm looking for a new yard brush as my old corn brush has given up the ghost, I'm looking for something a bit sturdier but not heavy, my local countrywide store has none in stock, any ideas of decent brooms?!
