Trying to sell 2 of my saddles and not having much luck .. so as title really
Ebay, Preloved or Gumtree.
Ebay is blooming expensive now though with all the fees, preloved is free, and i`ve never sold on gumtree but do browse on there a far bit.
Tack shops are good too, as locally people can at least try it on their horses to check fit![]()
What saddles are you trying to sell ?
I have used Ebay in the past, but unless they are a top brand, they don't seem to make their money, and the fees are high. This year I have sold several good saddles on Preloved, some sat there for a month or two, some went quickly, but they all sold for more or less what I wanted for them. You do have to put up with complete timewasters on there (do you still have this saddle for sale?, how can I pay you? and you never hear another word) but a well worded advert with 3 good pictures will usually do the trick.![]()
I found a lot of people don't have the confidence to buy and fit themselves, so the two I have for sale are currently with a local saddler to sell for me. They have been on Preloved for months and months and although I have had a couple of enquiries, nothing more than that, and I reduced the price twice.
I'm getting brain-ache looking for the right saddle! - messaging people on ebay and preloved and getting no answers back whatsoever. Just annoying really. Have also noticed the price of saddles has dropped with only a handful of the popular brands commanding higher prices.
