Best places for beach riding holidays in the uk?

Hi there

My two kids would like to take their horses away for a few days to the beach for a gallop and a mini break ! We have found Canter Hallington in Lincolnshire which looks absolutely amazing but is a long way and quite expensive. Any other suggestions anyone? I understand Studland beach in Dorset is fab but we would need a friendly farmer or somewhere to keep the neddies, camp etc. Or a B and B? And would love to take the dogs too! We live in Oxfordshire so the beach is no where in sight ! Any suggestions anyone? x

Another vote for Holkham...... Whitehall Farm is a nice place for horse and rider to stay, and the beach is fab too!

Based in South Oxon and would probs travel for three hours for a nice place

Another vote for Holkham...... Whitehall Farm is a nice place for horse and rider to stay, and the beach is fab too!

It looks fun and will defo investigate further. Any other suggestions any one ?
Also does anyone know of anywhere to stay near Studland as a closer option?

Canter Hallington is a great place but a good 30 mins trailer ride to the beach. Once you are at the beach at Theddlethorpe though it is fantastic, very quiet and wide open spaces.

Perranporth (Cornwall), 6 miles of lovely sand. Tourist area so shouldn't be hard to find accomodation. Only thing you have to watch is you are only allowed on the beach at certain times in tourist season (early morning & evening).
