Have found the LW's useless for this much rain and saxon are crph
But Amigo Hero Mediums and Rambo optioms with no liners the best with dry ponies underneath!
 
Mines had his pessoa one on all the time as he is out 24/7 and he is bone dry under it. I got it in the sale at a show but equestrian clearance had some in the sale and I would buy again as they have been fab and done me 2 years without needing reproofing.
 
Yes agree Pessoa's rugs are good; I bought their sweet itch hoody for mine a few years back now and its lasted incredibly well - incidentally they're like hens teeth to get hold of so if anyone knows where to get hold of one please let me know!!!

My two are in Weatherbeeta's at the moment; the mare is in the brand new (winter weight) one and my boy is in an old WB thing I bought on e-bay; but both are nice and cosy. Been out all day, just now brought them in.
 
1000 denier Amigo lightweight has kept my native dry. I wouldn't usually bother rugging - but it has been continuously foul, very limited shelter in his field and he is losing most of his winter coat, but he has been dry in this when I've put it on the worst of the days.
 
My cheapo Gallop rainsheet rug (at a mere 26 quid that I got last summer) keeps him dry, yet the more expensive make on my other leaks in places.
 
I'm another one for Horseware (although my horse only has one). Interesting to know about the gallop one as I got a light medium weight (100g fill) in a job lot I bought on eBay and had forgotten about it until the other day. Will use it when they start going out again as a backup for the amigo :)
 
2 of ours are in lightweight Amigos and are completely dry, even the ancient one which we've had for years! The other two have weatherbeeta combos on - one soaks through after a day or two and the other one is brand new so I have everything crossed it will stay dry as it's on its 3rd day of wear and is the only turnout new horse has! - doing well so far. The inside of the neck gets wet because she's always dashing around and has a skinny neck so it rolls down a bit, but it's always dry in the morning.
 
Ours are mostly out in Rambo Wugs, which seem to be keeping them dry, although tonight the weather is so grotty they are staying in!

We are sick and tired of this rain. Especially the ponies...
 
Mine is spending his first night out in his new Fal tonight... So we'll see in the morning! They seem to be very highly recommended and looks a better fit than his Weatherbeeta, which was waterproof but let all the rain down the front so his chest was always wet! Fal doesn't gape as much and has a neck too so fingers crossed it works :)
 
Mine was out today, our yard is very high and exposed but she was bone dry under her premier equine rug. Have just ordered her the 40g so she has something warmer than a rainsheet but not as heavy as the winter buster she had on today. They are on sale at the moment :)

i do find in such relentless rain that a little fill is better though so a 100g WB would be my choice but cant get one for love nor money unless its a combo.
 
Using a 1200D Amigo Lite - so pleased I got the higher denier. Staying dry underneath and seems to dry out overnight especially if I leave wet rug on for half an hour once he's come in.
 
My pony is out 24/7 in a rambo LW wug and he does not like sheltering so he is in the open heavy rain and has remained dry underneath, very impressed.

I only buy Rambo now - mainly because they are only only rugs that really fit him well but I think they are expensive but they do seem to be worth the money and I think of them as an investment as hopefully they will last a lot longer than cheaper rugs so work out better value long term.
