Best sites to advertise saddle? Is Saddles Direct any good?

Just wondering how other people sell their 2nd hand saddles? I have put an ad on my local equestrian website and am wondering whether it is worth paying to put an ad on Saddles Direct in the private sales section. Anyone had any joy selling that way?

All other suggestions welcomed - preferably free ones!!

If it's a dressage saddle - or even if it isn't - British Dressage website has free ads (or did a couple of months back when I sold mine). Just register, you don't need to be a member. I put mine on Saddles Direct too but it sold from BD. Plus if SD aren't selling the saddle you'll find your ad a bit hidden in a separate section in my experience.

As much as I love Horse and Hound I put my Ideal saddle on the free classifieds recently and was contacted by an American who was basically trying to scam me....asking for bank details to arrange a transfer and then courier the saddle to the USA. He was asking for all the wrong bank details (for account number, sort code and security number!) and thank goodness I smelt a rat. Be careful- still got the bloomin saddle!
