So in brief I would like peoples thoughts on the best way to get my horses to Hampshire ( circa 190 miles ) as I am moving next month.......unfortunately large horsebox in not an option as my horse will not load.
I have a 16hh 5yr old who is an excellent traveller in a trailer but done 30 miles max and never been on a motorway but has been on a dual carriageway in heavy traffic and a ID x Yearling who is 9 months and travelled twice alone in a trailer 15 miles down country lanes only once with a partition and once loose with back doors closed - both times she was brilliant
1. I hire a 3.5T and travel both together - risking that I can get them loaded and they cope in a lorry
2. Hire a double IW Trailer and large tow vehicle and travel them together, closing back doors
3. Make two journeys using my IW 403 and travel yearling loose with loads of bedding and back doors closed and travel Henri as normal only closing back doors if he panics on the motorway with the large lorries ( which I doubt he will )
I am looking to travel very early Sunday mornings so traffic should be quiet.
Thank-You and any other suggestions welcome
