Best wood pellet?

Any one else used pure wood pellets? Normal local supplier can't deliver until mid November so just looking into a few other companies.
Don't want to place an order without trying to find some reviews though!

I've used wood pellets for several years but this year I fell out of love with them. My mare is disgusting in her stable. Does her poo everywhere and then digs up her bed over and over and rolls in it. Wood pellets go a mucky brown colour within days and just get worse and worse. They are also extremely dusty when a horse rolls or when you need to move them about a lot. Yes, they are quick to muck out for tidy horses, but a nightmare for horses like mine. She is now on miscanthus (Burley bed). It doesn't look half so bad even when she's churned it up and there's no dust at all. It takes longer to muck out than pellets but you can make nice big firm banks and it looks nicer.

Out of all bedding I've tried burleybed has been my least preferred. it's dusty a bit spikey & not that absorbant. I have pellets in the wee spots under burleybed which keeps the stable from flooding under Eva marts. Switching back to flax which is absorbant but not heavy to muck out. Pellets I think are great for certain horses but I end up taking over half the bed (4 bags) of wet a week. Love the videos of a full muck out after a fortnight where only half a wheelbarrow of damp pellet sawdust removed. I wish! Half a ton of concrete more like!

I haven't found burley bed in the slightest bit dusty, but I agree it is a bit spikey and not terribly absorbent. But it has been the best bedding by far for my messy mare. The fact that it's quite heavy means it doesn't move too much and so it really helps with a digger and roller. Pellets and megazorb are extremely dusty. Everything gets covered in a film of dust within days. When doing my spring clean and completely emptying stables you need masks. You can hardly see through the dust. I have not tried flax yet though. I am yet to find the perfect bedding, though miscanthus is my current favourite as there is absolutely no dust so far.

I've only used platinum plus and I'm pleased with them. My latest delivery last week had 4 slightly damaged bags. The delivery driver took a photo and informed white horse energy of the problem. I emailed WHE same day and received a refund immediately for the 4 bags so not complaints from me

I have used other miscanthus before & really liked but was chopped up finer & seemed to do better job. Flax is fab although if you put brand new bed down then it's slippery until the base gets wet & stablises. For the first week it's a bit of a job but after 1st big muckout it's easy. Only bedding that I know will need to put in 1 bale a week as I only take 1 barrow out. Only downside is the rats love nesting in the bales.

Hi. I might try these...could you send me the code please? Also do I have to buy direct as I can't see other merchants selling them? Many thanks! Sandstone1....
