what a shame. its a sad day for the bull breeds. 
In all honesty, I don't think I could have my dog sitting in those horrid kennels.
Betty has a pretty serious face depending on a) your perception of her based on the way she looks and how much media you listen to. b) the angle of the camera, and what she is doing at the time.
If I took a picture of her watching next-doors cat parading in front of the window i reckon she'd look pretty serious- not so much when she thinks she's getting fed etc... you'd never see such a pic on a news article referring to "devil dogs" though would you.
Apart from the total injustice of the whole affair, I find the saddest thing is the fact that the family wont even get to see him to say goodbye. The whole system stinks.
