Big bale hay prices

Just a quick question.



How much does everyone pay for large round bales of hay?

Been offered some at £30, is it worth it? Only ever bought small bales before.

just been charged £40 for one. Not happy, but I'm a captive market at the moment, and YO rather had me over a barrel.

I've just paid £35 a bale, fortunately I bought a few bales straight off the field but even that was £30 a bale, as you say it's a captive market at the moment and the weather hasn't been kind again this year

£30 I would bite their hand off! I pay £45.

I pay £35 a big bale and normally get 4 each winter to last 1 horse and 1 pony untill March time depending on the weather. If you get a few in then if you dont use them sell as previous years hay to someone next year.

£30 round here (s.yorks) I started one on 9th July & the 14hh cob has a haynet every night & I've still got tons left!!

£35 delivered Lancashire and its very good hay lasts my 2 a month a bale but i do feed huge nets.

I'm in Lancashire too, as I said earlier usually £35 but found someone who charges £25

I'm trying to get some as the prices have dropped a bit...if only i could get at those prices!
