Big boned, straight backed, black, white, blue...

They're on your side of the pond. For now.....although the colour breeders seem to be interested in bringing them here.
There's debate over whether someone has chucked some collie in there :p

She's typically AKC with the over-angulation but I can't say much as B looks like his father had it away with a kangaroo :p but she has a lovely head and expression and her front assembly is neat.
They both work and are much loved so that's more important to me!
Love to know the male's breeding, I bet I could take a guess :p

Thats an interesting article. Our Askan went back to Lance fo Fran Jo (the american line that was used so much), he had loads of hind angulation and was incredibly unsound as a pup but matured into a lovely and successful dog, his offspring never had the same amount of angulation.
She hasn't really included a picture of the UK type of "Alsatian" has she, I'm not sure Allans would appreciate Xanthos being suggested as of that type, must be some Lornavilles out there who fit the bill.
Katio lou, that bitch has too much hind angulation for me (bet she carries lines to Lance of Franjo ), much prefer the male pictured, but as CC says they are able to work which is the main thing.
