First of all, I love the livery yard I am currently at. The facilities and people there are brilliant, and I would recommend it to anyone
The only downside is that we have to drive for an hour to get there and an hour to get back again. This costs is a small fortune in petrol, and ups the mileage considerably, which may impact on the cost of insurance in the long run. Also, it cuts into the amount of time I have to do any riding, since we have work and home commitments too
So I have heard of a space having opened on a yard much closer to us, with similar facilities and around the same price. We are going to view it on Friday. But we both feel really sad and guilty at considering leaving where we are. It is just down to how far we are having to travel.
Providing this other yard is suitable, should we take the plunge? And if so, what is the best way to let our current yard owner know? Obviously, I would give the thirty day notice, but I don't want to offend them or hurt their feelings either. Thinking we might get them a present to thank them for everything as well.
I would offer you all cookies, but I've eaten them
Will Jaffa cakes do?
