Bike trailers

Anyone use one? How heavy are they? Do they make the bike (as in a pushbike) unwieldy?

I am considering this as a very vague possibility, trouble is it is 11 miles to work and 11 miles back, with a hill (yes! In Norfolk! It's the only one!) and when you have a banjaxed knee, and also no shower at work, that's potentially a long, long way...

I used to have one to take my nephew's out, it was quite light, a pain on cycle paths where they have those stupid gate ways. Got rid in the end on ebay for £50 I think

OOO we got one a while ago. We tried the doggy ones but they were much heavier.

So we ended up going with a single child one. It cost about $90 and is wonderful.
