Hi there. I'd appreciate a bit of advice on this if you can help. I bought this Neue Schule Team Up bit this week to help in the battle to get my horse going more from behind and to relax. I have added some pictures to the album of his usual 'way of going' i.e head up, neck set with short strides, dragging himself along from in front. Well, as I said I bought this bit this week and have used it twice, once during lunging and today long reining an look at the state of it.
I can't quite fathom out how the bit has got so ragged on the lozenge?! I've only had the horse a few weeks so am yet to get his teeth checked, although I will be this week as a matter of urgency! I've been using a copper roller up until now and would imagine it's masked things somewhat. I thought he had a back problem and have had a physio out (who did find he had a tilted and rotated pelvis, and many a tight muscle but nothing more), however I'm not thinking more along the lines of a serious teeth issue? What are your opinions??
