We seem to have done plenty of bouncing lately...some good and some not so good. At trec last weekend I had lovely mild mannered hacking pony on day 1, and feral unbacked loony on day 2. I decided I had effectively overbitted him in his bitless bridle by taking off the gel pad I usually use under the noseband and replacing it with sheepskin thinking it would be cooler on a hot day. But it was also a lot sharper and he could feel the rope noseband a lot more which he hated (he has severe pollen allergy so I think his head becomes hypersensitive). He was basically telling me to get off his face.
Anyways, this weekend the gel pad was back on and he went out to play at a local XC venue with us rocking our new lime green outfits..we felt very snazzy! I appreciate to most of you the fence in this picture will look tiny but the pony and I are not very brave so for us it was the Cottesmore leap! He felt amazing and I was really proud of him. We didn't do much as he hasn't jumped much since his sacroiliac injury 2 years ago. But I loved these still shots so much I had to show them off!
