Michen that really is something else! It’s so gross but I just want to give it a good old squeeze and poke to see what else comes out. Was it sore?

I feel like dr pimple popper would have a field day with us lot ?

*I'm going back 60 years here, but my mother had a tube of dark green ointment, put it on a dry dressing and it would draw out anything. No idea what it was. Often wish I still had some. Beats digging with a needle.

I thought of you all this morning...

I have a Medusa piercing (above top lip), and occasionally if I have slept very deeply I find my lip swells a little. Well I had a corker of a good nights sleep last night and woke up to see that I looked like I’d had lip filler injected. It was quite painful so I decided to switch my bar out to a longer one to allow the swelling to go down.

There was blood, and pus oozing out of the piercing hole ? the pus wasn’t even the worst bit, there seemed to be a huge chunk of gunk that I squeezed out of it, it was solid! I had left my phone upstairs so didn’t manage to snap a pic, but it was definitely photo worthy ?

Wow! I love an unexpected solid lump of pus! Simultaneously impressive and yucky!

Ooh. This is great.

My horse currently has a face alien that could be a bone cyst, or a tooth root abscess, or who knows (mystery solved in a few days at the clinic). It doesn't bother him but I NEED to see what is in it. Is it weird if I ask them to take video and/or photos of this when they open it up at the clinic? ?

Also had this inconspicuous slightly lighter colored flesh spot on my gums for quite awhile. Dentist not alarmed. One day it looked different, I poked at it with some sanitized tweezers and a stream of pus came out. Still one of the best moments of my life.

Think that was probably a sinus (tract).

Well this is truly horrible but i can join in! My ex husband used to get ulcers on his leg and so we went through a process of seeing doctors, consultants, referals etc until the hospital, St Georges Hyde Pk corner, took him in for Xrays. Saw something on the bone and said they would like to excavate........ after a wait of a few months for a bed they operated and took out a huge amount of bone because it had coral growing in/on it. He had been diving in Hawaii and just nicked himself many years before.

One of my most vivid memories, on a diving expedition all military guys including my dad, he refused to let me dive without a wetsuit even though the heat was insane and advised all others to do likewise.

One young chap thought that was silly and off he went in swim shorts and t-shirt, he was caught by a nasty current and scraped along a reef from shoulder to knee.
Back on board the boat the immediate priority was killing the masses of fragments embedded like gravel in his skin.
With alcohol...
It took 4 bottles of vodka and 3 guys to hold him down while he screamed.

I think I'd rather the blackthorn ?

And that is why I always dive in a wetsuit however warm the water ?
