Blimey! Wind!

Very windy here too!
I did ride though so I am quite pleased with myself.

I decided not to hack as I think it's a tad dangerous with branches flying about so I ventered into our field. The problem is, our field is about as exposed as it can get and we have only ridden in there once this summer!

Jerry was quite excited about it all but we did manage quite a productive schooling session - only walk and trot mind you - I'm not that brave/daft!

Really windy down here in Kent too! Horses are out but were a bit wooo hoo this morning. And Bodey cob is out in a MW as fully clipped and there is a real chill in the air. No riding today!

Yes, it's very windy here too, and I'm slightly concerned that my washing is going to end up in next door's garden!

Horses are out in it though. Mine are out 24/7. I really hope that all this wind brings some rain with it. Haven't had rain since I can't remember, and my fields are parched!

I have just been and retrieved from the ditch hundreds of yards across the field: two big tubs of sheep lick, one forty gallon drum used as a drinker which must have had 10 gallons in when it blew over, and the infill panels of my jumps.

Changing rugs was "interesting". Rugs that came off blew against the sheep fencing and stayed there - off the ground just held up by the wind. Horses are feeling pretty daft, sheep are just lying down and keeping out of it.
 
Blowing a hurricane here in Perthshire!!

Had a dressage comp this morning which was very interesting. Got marked down for lack of impulsion but very hard to get any impulsion when your trotting face first into a Gale Force 10 wind !!!

My poor ears are still sore and feeling a bit light headed with it. Think I'm coming down with the cold now. Still got a showjumping comp to do tomorrow morning!!! ARGH!
 
It's as windy as anything but the horses were all toasty warm this morning. All currently out and unrugged and doing fine. If it rains later though rugs will definitely be going on.
 
Yep very windy here too. Managed to take Charlie for a canter round the stubble fields and then did 15 minutes of schooling, he was very lit up and not very settled but we both survived, just

Extremely windy here. Just been out on the car and there's a tree down and numerous branches across the road. Also now raining so have just let horsey back into the yard again as he's looking grumpy :P
