Blonde pony tails in show jumping

I too have long blonde hair (although it's currently pink) and I am an amateur too! Clearly it's not making me any better :D although I always plait mine for SJ, it only ever goes in a bun/hairnet if i'm showing because hairnets make my ears stick out and I hate that!

I have long blonde hair and don't/won't jump. Should I die my hair to avoid letting the blondes down?

If it was about safety, should we not tie up/wear a net all the time? I always just have a ponytail when riding at home (small bun when I do BD) - honestly never thought about any safety angle on this before.

Yes, you're an absolute disgrace and don't deserve blondeness; you are sentenced to be mouse until you can clear 1m wearing unfeasibly white breeches with your locks flowing gracefully in your wake.

:D :D :D
I'll get my hair appointment booked... as there is no chance whatsoever of me a) wearing unfeasibly white breeches or b) jumping more than 20cm. I am a disgrace!

I really dont see why it matters TBH, I hate all the health and safety rubbish - I support it if its the horse, but for the rider I think should be personal choice if someone wants to wear their hair long or whatever, or wear earings etc. I cant think of many other sports where its so strict or traditional about what the person wears. And yes, blonde is awesome ha ha!
