Blooming cheek!

I've just googled them too,
g040.gif
.

She had 1 litter in 2006, 1 litter in 2007, 6 litters in 2008 and 10 litters in 2009. She also had one litter with 9 puppies late in December 2010 (so that actually makes 11 litters in 2009) that was ready to leave at Valentine's day, 4 is unsold, one litter with 3 puppies was born in February and 2 are unsold but the two white puppies from the litter born in March has already been sold.
Now due to that her baby decided to arrive 7 weeks early, you might be able to buy a puppy from the other two litters to a reduced price. And she has one bitch that is confirmed pregnant and is possibly planning at least two other litters later this year.

Okay, it is unplanned when babies comes too early, but if/when she knows that she is pregnant, why plan to have 3 litters for sale possibly within 4 months of her baby's due date?
And Fate, who had a litter in October, is the one who is confirmed pregnant, so she will have two litters on two seasons, okay, she is co-owned with somebody else and as far as I understand, lives with the co-owner, but I'm just wondering why they're in such a rush?

Quality not quantity?

Hm, well she also seems to aim for having something for everyone's taste. For those wanting to see what the different coats, colours and patterns means there is a link that I followed and it seems that Plush coat = "NOT a long-coat (no feathering). However, it is medium length with a think, fluffy under coat."
With a think, fluffy undercoat? Mamma mia, a coat that can think!

Precisely why I didn't look.
Ten litters in a year???

Do they mention health tests in amid that myriad of pwetty kolors?

Abe is known as the wolf around our neighborhood!

Next doors kids come and ask if they can play with the wolf!

And no one knows what a Brittany is so i get everything from pointer to giant king charles spaniel.

Do they mention health tests in amid that myriad of pwetty kolors?

Oh yes, pwenty of tests, "The minimum health tests our breeding stock must pass include OFA Hips & OFA Elbows, we will also be working towards OFA Cardiac, OFA Thyroid, MDR1 on all breeding stock. Occasionally we may do other health certifications such as the DM Test, TLI tests, CERF, vWF, and so on."

So they make it sound really good with lots of different tests results this and test results that, but then I came across more than one stud dog with "OFA H&E prelims", as far as I can understand, they can do some prelim (preliminary?) test, from when they are 12 months old and if they pass this preliminary test, it seems to be okay to use them in breeding?
What if the preliminary test result was wrong?
g055.gif

On one brood bitch it just said "OFA", OFA what? Did you forget which test she passed?
a050.gif

And proving that some colour breeding doesn't always give the result you want, Sire a steel blue sable stud dog with "OFA Fair Hip & Elbow prelims", Dam a liver & tan brood bitch with "OFA Good Hip & Elbow prelims" had a litter born in November, 2009.

2 sable males, 1 black male. 1 black & tan female, 2 sable females, 1 black female.

But don't worry, of course all the puppies will carry the liver gene & the blue gene.
s040.gif

Just like the litter born late in December wasn't included in the 10 litters she had during 2009, this litter is also not included in those 10, I don't understand why the December litter wasn't included but perhaps her blue and/or liver breeding isn't included because it is done under the name Legacy? But actually, to me, it seems as if she bred 12 litters 2009...
a015.gif

Also on one place she says that no puppies leave her before 8 weeks of age, but when I wanted to look at the puppy pictures, from the blue and liver gene carrying litter above, at 7 weeks of age, there was only 5 individual photos and in the two empty spaces where it should have been photos there was a text saying; "Sable male * In his new home with #### & ######## *" and "Black & Tan girl * In her new home with ##### & ##### *.
Maybe I'm wrong and reading something into it that isn't true, but it makes me wonder if those 2 puppies where in their new homes, when their litter siblings had their 7 weeks old photos taken now in January?

No, I'm still not looking. I'm in a good mood and I want it to stay that way! Prelims are usually taken under a year, mine were done at 6mo, to see if the hips look good, while they obviously can't be scored at that age, it will give you an idea if the dog is sound as a pound or a train wreck.
But it still isn't a scored x-ray and it is only a rough guide.

Wow, no one can take a thread on a detour like us :p

To be fair, she only said "All pups will carry the liver gene, & the blue gene." But I interpret that as = don't worry, of course all the puppies will carry the liver gene & the blue gene.

By the way, since I'm already way off topic, what do you think of the front legs on this stud dog, owned by a co-owner to one of the "Panda" breeder's bitches and described as "spunky little guy with absolutely gorgeous angles, beautiful front-end assembly and an outgoing temperament"?

I would not have been happy if one of Jonna's puppies had front legs looking like that! And if I had to teach them to stand with one hind leg like that, I would quit showing!

You know, I have thought about this, and typed a few replies out, but I don't think it was acceptable for people to come on here and slag off the Crufts BoB, especially considering all his achievements physically, in the show ring and on the trial field, so I will not do the same to this dog.

The panda female, despite being a totally alien colour to me, is not the worst put-together bitch I have ever seen.
From this picture, I would have this male as a pet, not a stud, and more importantly I would put a lot of hard work into him to get some muscle/firmness on him.

I totally see your point CC, butcan't resist a little comment.:o The angles on his pasterns are certainly not gorgeous, ditto the length of his second thigh. However the americans do like their GSDs with extreme angles, as indeed the seem to exaggerate many other breeds traits. I had a dog with lines to a top US champion, he probably had the worst pasterns and feet of any dog I had owned, but they did improve considerably with the right exercise and he had a very successful ring career .

On one of the very rare occasions that my late tricolor Smooth Collie decided to stand on our patio and bark at visitors, the Jehovah's Witnesses asked my mother if she was a wolf!?

So a dog similar to this
2293487378_eb42f21625.jpg

No resemblance to a wolf but looks like my Stevie:

SDC10477.jpg

I regularly get asked if he's crossed with GSD, but I think he's just a collie. Your pic is the closest I've seen to what I think he'll look like fully grown though!

At least you dont get the reaction I do - so someone will be stroking my dogs and then ask what sort of terrier they are. When I say "staffie" the reaction is normally to jump backwards! or tell me they dont look like staffies.

they do, its just that the breed has been so mucked around and overbred, its almost strange to see a staffie looking like they are supposed to - which is basically muscular and quite small!
