I was just wondering what people's experiences with Blue Chip have been?
I have an 18yr old thoroughbred who lost alot of condition over the winter, he's on country mix, molly-chop, barley and sugar beet at the minute. he's hacking out and we've just started hill work to build up muscle.

Am I just banging my head against a brick wall? or should I give Blue Chip a go????

I started my seniors on Blue Chip and it worked wonders last year. This year I had them on Spillers Original Balancer - which is half the price and according to my fab feed merchant (who knows his horses) its very similar. They have done just as well on this - try and look deeper into them and see which one might suit you better!

I found it didn't help my oldies much at all. Very expensive and they have maintained weight far better without it the past few years. After trying many feeds/supplements I've settled on nuts and sugar beet and it suits them all perfectly both horses and ponies, with ad-lib hay/haylage too of course.

^^^ I second Topstripe. I had my boy on Blue Chip Original last year and he did really well on this (great hooves, great skin, very shiney coat, good condition, no fizz). Like Topstripe I changed over to Spillers Original Balancer a few months ago and he's still doing just a good on this but at half the cost.

Topspec is far better
take a bit off time to look at the amount off vit/min levels in all the balancers
you will be surprised how little blue chip has in it
