I’ve been looking at a few youngsters (all coloured gypsy cobs), and one I really like has two blue eyes. I really like them but I know they can put some people off (like my sister, _Gina_). So what’s your opinion, yay or neigh?

Like!!

Yay! Someone on here has a horse with blue eyes - is it dwi? Really lovely and very interesting looking IMO

I'm half and half on this. Its not something I would look for, but it wouldn't put me off.
Also, I think it looks better on some then others, a horse with a mostly white head can look a bit odd with blue eyes, but it wouldn't put me off buying him, just be prepared for peoples reactions if they are novice, they tend to see them as scary or something?

does it matter what other people think as long as you love it that all that matters

No but you do have to consider re-sale value (I am pretty sure he will be a keeper though) but you never know. Plus just wondered what other people thought!

really like it! its cool when they have 1 blue and one brown, my boy has brown eyes but lots of white around them, makes him look a bit wild eyed and a few folk have commented on this but i dont really care what they say i love him to bits

It would not put me off, i think they can look rather striking, i used to help at a trekking centre when i was much younger and lady had a stunning welsh D, a stunning dun with blue eyes, his name was silver, good looking chap

I'm going to go against the grain here.........I think they are a bit gross! Sorry, I just don't like them..............having said that, wierdly it wouldn't put me off veiwing a horse since I'm very much 'it's not what they look like'

Plus...............my poor girls only got one eye so any eye would do, blue/pink/purple whatever!

Yay! But I love all types to be honest. I am more interested in the fact that you are getting a new acquisition! I hope none of the existing herd are being replaced!

How expressive is that eye? Much more expressive than a normal eye, you can really see what's she's thinking.

Personally I didn't like them until I had Daisy but I do think it depends on how attractive the horse's head is in the first place. D has a very attractive head for her type and I think her eye complements it. I don't usually like the coloureds with more white on their heads and blue eyes.

Oh no defiantly not, this is just adding to the JoBo herd. I just want another baby to do all the firsts with again. Bodey has turned out so well that I’m hoping (big fingers crossed) that I can’t do it again??????

Stunning, absolutely stunning! I totally agree with you! This youngster looks quite similar in colour to Daisy, would love him to turn out like her!
