Gorgeous George
Well-Known Member
I was just wondering if anyone had ever had this happen to them? My friend was kindly riding George yesterday as I had to work, and whilst she was riding the metal stirrup bar completely sheared off the saddle
Luckily she was riding in the arena and not doing fast work so no damage was done - phew.
But less can be said for my saddle which is now knackered, there doesn't appear to be any signs of wear / stress on the metal is has just snapped
What is worse is this a decent Barnsby dressage saddle that is only 18 months old!
We are getting our local saddler to look at it this week (unfortunately the saddler I bought it from is now retired and no longer trading)
So I will have to see where I go from there. I am terrified that they won't be able to repair it, or it will cost a fortune to repair, I just hope Barnsby will be happy to help. Also what is to say the same won't happen to the other side.
