books for schooling

there are loads of good dressage books for sale on www.dressageathickstead.co.uk - there should be one on their suitable.

Can i ask what you want it for? I would personally prefer to get schooling 'programmes' from my trainer rather than a book.....Books are good for reference, but you cant beat proper trianing!!

I find 'schooling with poles' by Claire Lilley really good, loads of ideas of how to make schooling more interesting and beneficial.
'101 flatwork exercises' has some good exercises but I didn't like it as it doesn't really give you any in depth help with any problems you might come across and is very minimal with instructions! Could be good to give you deas though, as long as you have a good understanding of the aids and what you should expect from your horse at his stage of training.
