I currently go up to the yard and ,muck out etc in wellies but i like the look of toggi calgary or similar but am worried about them getting wet, how much grip they have on ice and whether they are stained/eaten by the wee etc in stables when mucking out. Do you ride in them. any other makes considered. around same price as these.

I have dubarry boots, I find them fab. Keep my feet warm, have excellent grip in icy conditions and are super to ride in too. Only problem with mine is the leather cracking across my toes but that's my fault for not keeping them mud free and supple with leather balm!!

The Toggi Canyon boots are waterproof, have plenty of grip and have been made with a riding boot heel. As far as I know the likes of Dubarry and Calgary boots are not made to ride in, although people do.

I have Toggi calgary and Columbus boots Love Both and ride in both too they wear well, comfortable and keep feet warm and dry. Best boots I ever had

I love my toggi calgary, however I consider mine much more of a summer riding boot...I have my insulated ariats for the winter. I would not wear mine mucking out though....I'd rather put my wellies back on for that!
