Bowen therapy?

Just had a 'search' of threads, and it seems that it is well liked - going to book the pony in I think!

Yes, absolutely recommend, helped my stiff older horse dramatically. Make sure you go to a registered therapist tho & not someone who just does EMRT as I found this to be a complete waste of time.
If you are in Sussex I can recommend someone

I love Bowen therapy, use it on me and my horses. My pelvis is really prone to coming unlevel and I find McTimoney too painful now for it to work, Bowen brings my pelvis back into place without any pain and it seems to stay in place longer than when I used McTimoney.

I still use Beth for Boozle as I am so grateful for the difference she made to her, but have now switched allegiances to another lady who does Bowen and fits SC - she does all the rest of mine

Beth and Norman do different types of Bowen, I found Beth's a bit too much for me and Norman's type of Bowen is more passive so it doesn't hurt when he works on me

I admit it, I'm a wimp! Beth is lovely tho, do you know if she has still got Rupert or did laminitis get the better of him?

Beth can be quite 'overpowering' in some ways, but the work she does on Boo is just incredible and I wouldn't use anyone else for her. The other lady I use does seem much more gentle though, but the results are still good (but thankfully not as dramatic as the others aren't in the state that Boo was in!).

Beth had one of hers PTS in september from navicular I think, but I didn't catch the name, and the horse she has now she just refers to as 'her lad' and never by name.

Ahem - thread stealers!

I have just booked Pauline Holmes to come on the 29th - she seems to be very busy which is always a good sign.

I am going to get the vet out in the meantime, just to check that there is nothing aside from 'tenseness and muscle uneveness' wrong, rather than just putting all of my eggs in one basket with Bowen.

Ooops! *Bounty slinks out of thread feeling unwanted*

Seriously though, I think you will be majorly impressed with the results from the Bowen - just don't forget to get your vets approval to keep it all legal

Hope your lady becomes bendy in no time at all

No, come back, of course you can continue you your discussion of who the best 'Bowener' is!

I want her as bendy as a band.....( a rubber one, not a marching one, they tend to slink, rather than bend.)
