I've been lucky that whilst i've been off with my injury (almost 6 months now!), the girls from my horseball team have been keeping the boys ticking over.

On Saturday they came over and for the very first time had a go at jumping with them. Everyone had a ball, each managing over a metre despite a couple of them only wanting to do a cross pole at the start!

They're living out so look a bit scruffy and everything is a bit makeshift but we all had such fun and I couldn't be more proud of peoples and ponies :)

They had that much fun that a couple are going showjumping on Friday and Arena eventing on Sunday :)

Lovely boys, they look very happy. What have you done to yourself?

Came off in the world's most pathetic fall at a showjumping clinic and very nearly twisted off my own arm. Was put back together with the help of pins and plates but it's been a very long recovery because all of the muscles etc were sliced through too and I ended up with lots of nerve damage.

Have my next x-rays a week today and I am hoping with everything I have to be given the all clear to start doing things again.

this ^^
jealous that you have fields dry enough to ride on, too! Ours are back to being quagmires again :(

I have quite simply never seen fields quite like it! The soil is so sandy that it drains off immediately. The night before the photos were taken we had heavy rain literally right through 6pm - 5am. I'm so lucky to have stumbled upon this place, it's saved my bacon.

Really looking forward to watching them at the showjumping and then the arena eventing. It will be the grey horse with the noseband's first ever competitive round!

Good lord!! You did that properly didn't you??!

I can't even imagine how painful that must have been!

Yeah it was less that ideal, especially as I'm allergic to opiates so couldn't have morphine. They wanted to get the air ambulance but I had a very embarrassing Mr T, "I ain't getting on no plane" moment so they got me off the floor with gas and air......only that had run out (I did keep telling the paramedics that I didn't think it was working).
