I buy it from the vets and get it 3 for price of 2 which is £85 per box and works out at £57 per box. I’m not sure if that was just a promo though. One box is 60 sachets so last me about 2 months so that works out only £28 per month. I’d try your local vets most vets seem to stock it now.

I think Buteless Superstrength has higher quantities of the key ingredients, plus additional ingredients, at a lower price.

When comparing 50g of buteless superstrength per 1 sachet of bozmerix daily (the 'maintenance' dose of each, though you can double up on both of these) the buteless superstrength is still more expensive per day (£1.63 if buying a 5.5kg tub vs £1.50 per sachet for the bozmerix).

Hestevard also do a palatability guarantee so if your horse doesn't eat it you can send it back, and smaller trial packs of 20 sachets. Plus a loyalty card scheme so after 6 boxes you can get a free one. I have my old creaky lad on it and it does help him.

I don’t know details but a guy I worked for asked me a while ago if I’d ever heard of this stuff and said his partner had been trying it on her ex-dressage horse who I knew was on the verge of retiring from ridden work all together due to joint issues.
The horse is out of retirement and although retired from competitive work is back hacking happily and soundly.

danilon seems to be 60 for £89. I presume you need a prescription. If I got bute online I would need a prescription £20.
I wouldn't need 6m vet visits for bute but someone with only 1/2 horses may have a vet who insists on 6m visits. So more cost there. At least Boz is non POM.

how does that work please? I guess mine will be on it for a long while hopefully.

I have been feeding to an old retired horse that was starting to to struggle to get up the steep ground to turnout day and night through the winter and I have seen a HUGE improvement- almost too good he flies around the field like a 3y/o at times!

Please let me know if you find it anywhere cheaper than £89.99 for 60!

wonderful stuff really helps my lad with arthritis and damaged hind suspensories but is a bit ouchy on the procket!!
@conniegirl I have 10 sachets if you'd like them... I collected lots of samples ready to do a trial of it, before discussing with my vet who told me it wasn't the right product for my horse anyway! So all my borrowing friends' addresses etc was in vain 😂 Happy to post them to you if you PM your address!

To be sure I'd want to know the concentration of the boswellia. If you buy standard boswellia, it's about 13% boswellic acid however you can also buy high concentration which contains 65% boswellic acid. Knowing which of these had been added would make a difference.

Both can be labelled boswellia serrata

As with a lot of supplements sometimes the bioavailability can vary depending on different forms of the ingredients. The microencapsulated curcuma longa is meant to be a lot more absorbable for horses than straight up turmeric, so you don't need as much. How they directly compare in real terms (i.e. does 10g of straight turmeric = 1g of microencapsulated?) I'm not sure though.

Each box of 60 comes with a little card inside it, which I think you then give the 6 cards to the vets you get it through, and then they can get a free box for you. I think!
thanks. finally found the card. Didn't realise how the card worked.

What happens if you buy online? if the card is in the box the online vet isn't going to open it, or at least didn't with mine, so card unsigned or at least doesn't have their practice name on it. There was a fair bit of packaging with the box.

not sure what price a vet can do boz for.

Anyone buy from their vet and have a price? anyone buy online and got the card signed?
at £90 a box a free box is well worth it but if we have higher prices from vets that will affect it.

Also just realised I have 5x 30% off vouchers from my free sample collecting... It says one per customer, would anyone like one? They expire some on 1/4/23 and some on 15/4/23, so you need to be able to use them quickly.
