I know Clyro cobs well: sweet sorts but will have done or know very little.Clyro Cobs have 3 in the catalogue. They look lovely - lucky I am so far away.

I was just looking at 126 and thinking he’d be a little cracker with some decent work.I’m such a sucker for a coloured.
Aren’t you close enough for a cheeky day trip? I would have had to sit on my hands, the prices seem really low considering what I normally see being asked for with cobs.Just looked at the sales report - 126 went for £3400 and 128 £3200. Wish I could have seen them before they ended up at the auction as either would have been very tempting.
Agree, I'd be super wary. Friend/ lady I work for just bought a pony from Brecon last week though and apparently so far it's been brilliant. I've not seen it yet but I'm doing the yard later so will meet her then.I know but I guess we don’t know their circumstances or as someone mentioned above, it never was a riding school and the horses may have come from anywhere. There were a lot of horses entered for this auction that I thought would have sold well privately and makes me suspicious and I think that’s why I’m a bit wary/scared of auctions.
Dunno, I mean it’s a sure fire way (normally) of ensuring it’s sold, I suppose. There were a few at good prices, the Suffolk mare was sold privately before the auction. You’d get a youngster at rock bottom prices on a good day if you’re after something with little done. Given how much cobs go for, I’d say the 2 @Bradsmum was looking at were probably amazing value. Can confirm said pony purchased at Brecon last weekend is indeed very lovely!
There has to be a catch surely…. I’ll be interested to see how this pans out.
I did have a quick peek on the sale online and they looked like nice sorts.I know Clyro cobs well: sweet sorts but will have done or know very little.
Yes I know a lot without problems go through the sale ring but I also know a lot go through from dealers who are less than honest shall we say!Just because it's at auction doesn't mean that there's a problem. Some people just don't want the hassle of having strangers round trying their horses, tyre kickers basically or potentially looking for things to steal. Once it's sold at auction it's sold with no come back ( so long as honestly described if sold warranted).
She looked very tired in the pens.Lot 164 is breaking my heart, 14 year old ID in foal to a Lippizaner. Poor girl going through an auction. I hope she finds someone who treasures her.
It wouldn't have prevailed if i had been with you..I totally loved lot 40 - Big Chunky. You could just tell she was a really nice girl.
I was so tempted but common sense prevailed.
No, sorry.@Archangel - was there a mule there, if so was it white called OMO?
I would love to know. Poor girl.Does anyone know where the in-foal mare went to ?
