Breeders - AI or Natural?

I think we should all cross our fingers that she's not at all overdue. Are things like No Bute suitable for preggers mares? I have a feeling their not, but maybe wrong.
Did she go crazy when everyone left for Devon, or is she just deteriorating anyway?

Some of the horses were moved on Tuesday - and from the skid marks in her field somebody decided to gallop around like a loony tune - aggrevating the ringbone.

She is significantly worse today - so yon veterinary is comming up tonight to look at her. I really don't know what he'll say regarding pain relief to be honest. Will have to let you know on that one.

Life would be so much easier if horses exercised some of their own damage limitation! Sounds like her box and a deep bed if she can't behave herself

Good luck with the vet tonight, and keep us all posted. X

AmyMay I checked with the manufacturers as I'm hoping to put my mare into foal next month, and the two supplements she is taking, Pernamax and Cortaflex are OK for pregnant mares. I don't know what your horse's original problem was, but Pernamax is an anti-inflammatory as you may know (green lipped mussels) and it works fast.

Thanks Lynwood - that's really helpful.

She definately needs anti-inflam - and pain relief. Will mention the pernamax to my vet tonight.

Thansk.
