Breeders of Bracco Italianos....

Hey all - just wondered if anyone knew of good breeders of the above, also known at the Italian Pointer.....link attached!

Suggest you contact the breed club; there aren't many litters registered in a year so you may have a bit of a wait on your hands.http://www.bracco-italiano.co.uk/

I know of two people who breed braccos, but I don't know enough about the breed to recommend them.

Thanks - already done that but it's obviously nice to get personal recommendations!

I only know of one breeder in the UK and that was through church
I know he only sells to working homes though.

Expect a long wait and money spent into the thousands.

I think most do only sell to working homes.....which it would be

There is one at the ringcraft class I go to (she must be nearly 1). She got her from nearly bath. The entire litter were sold to show homes.

I'm sure she got her from somewhere near Bath.

I'll ask my mum when I see her tomorrow she's got a couple of friends with them

Done that already thanks - just want to get recommendations of breeders really rather than going in blind....for my parents.

There's one at my training class. Not sure when I'll be there next, but will try to remember to ask her owner where she got her from.

I've asked mum, she said she'll have a word with her friend

ETA: there's the KC breeder's list too (mum's other suggestion) the list has accredited breeders as well

Hi,

I have Bracco. You are correct to find breeders via good recommendations - sadly in the last few years there have been a few people breed where the breed club and other breeders would not advise you to get a pup from.

Bracco are not always placed in working homes however they are a breed which are not for everyone!
