Anyone have any recommendations for a bridle? It’s my birthday and I’ve got a few quid (not much) and thinking I might buy a second bridle. Atm we swap bits between flatwork and jumping and it’s becoming a pain ?
Horse is 17hh with a fairly big head, currently in an extra full Schockemohle bridle but would probably get away with full size. Am I ridiculous for thinking about patent and white padding? ? Budget probably about £150 or thereabouts.

this is from FSS on ebay (would be comfortably within budget and will sort out anything bespoke with a bit of lead time) with a browband from Emily Galtry. Kira has the same noseband without the white and on flat leather.

How do they compare to Sabre in terms of quality MP?

at half the price i'd say they are much better than half as good :p

My sabre tack looks immaculate after years and years, i can't say the same for my FSS stuff but it's fancier - the patent eventually gets a few dings if you use it daily and the white coating eventually wears off the inside of the nosebands etc. to me it's the difference between fashion clothing and a classic suit if that makes sense? I'm very happy with my FSS tack, it's supple and safe and looks nice but stuff like Sabre is always going to trump it in terms of longevity and quality.

Impatience won and I ended up buying a bridle from a local tack shop - it came with 2 browbands; one plain, and the other was a blingy monstrosity. I like bling but it was horrible lol so I bought another more subtle sparkly browband to go with it. Pleased to find one without a flash. I did find a nice, shiny, patent padded one but it was a double and we aren’t quite there yet lol.
Just trying it on here, probably need to tweak a couple of things but happy enough with it! 6C8CB652-286D-42D5-97EC-9E79D2E5B11A.jpeg
