Please tell me what bridle I want for my Welsh!

I'm liking the look of PSOS Flying Change and Schockemohle Stanford...

But I don't know! These bridles aren't cheap, they're around £200. And I dont know how or why they vary so dramatically in cost and whether I'd really get the benefit of spending the extra!

I was very disappointed with the Schockemohle I had. Didnt last a year before the stitching started to go and it stretched loads. Expected a lot better for the not insignificant price tag.

check the measurements carefully.

For a Welsh you may be better getting what you want made-to-measure - they usually need to have wide wide browbands and headpieces (that huge brain has to go somewhere ;) ), and neat little nosebands.
Def agree with this, my sec d has full size headpiece, xf browband and cob everywhere else.
She wears a mash up from FSS on ebay (great quality for the price and pretty much any colour/finish you could dream up) and Hypostore! Before that she had a mix and match sabre. I've never had anything fit just off the peg.

Henry James, made in the UK too. I want one (friend has one and it’s amazing) but they’ve been out of stock for ages! £140.

My sec D is in a sabre with a full headpiece, Xf browband and cob everything else. I sold my psos as I didn’t like it on him. If I’m honest, the sabre is a MUCH nicer bridle! Leather was a bit stretchy on the psos.

I have a Henry James, lovely quality for the price and you can mix and match sizes. I also like the look of the natural horsemanship bridles, a friend has one and they’re lovely quality and ergonomically designed.
