My mare is about to come back in to work after a year off
She suffered an injury to her wither which impacted on her spinal cord but somehow she has come through it
Im worried as the injury was on her wither/spinal cord about sitting on her and whether i should try to build up some topline on her first? I dont know the best way of doing this? Or whether it would make a difference?
Would you walk out in hand for a few weeks/months first? Would you lunge her? Im not in a rush to get back on her and would rather take my time and get it right. Even if it takes another 6 months....
Thanks for any advice
