Last tuesday Harley snapped half of one of his nails off
Trip to the vet, got given a lampshade, he trimmed it tidy and told me to try and keep it clean because if it got infected he may have to have it removed.
So nearly a week on.... He can lick it even with a lampshade on. The vet wasn't keen on bandaging it, but I tried and he fiddles with it and then goes lame.... So generally it is covered if we're going out, otherwise supervised to make sure he leaves it alone!
But my main concern is that although it looked better after a couple of days, it hasn't really improved since. It isn't angry red, just fleshy red.
Can anyone roughly tell me how long it will take to heal up? At the moment because it has to be covered when he's outside, he has to stay on the lead, and he is FULL of beans!
