Would anyone be kind enough to share photos of themselves competing in brown boots and a navy jacket?

I have brown and black boots but I sort of hate my black ones! They're too stiff and I much prefer my soft brown field boots, but don't have the budget to buy another black pair exactly the same yet.

Normally I just suck it up and wear my black boots but I struggle to feel the horse properly and I think I might actually ride better in the brown ones.

I know its allowed under our rules but South Africa is EVER SO TRADITIONAL with their dressage attire. Strictly black and white. No coloured stocks or ties.

I'm one of the only riders I ever see wearing navy, and I've never seen anyone in beige or tweed or anything to that extent. And certainly never brown boots. So please convince me that it looks nice before I go and make waves!

My horse is a liver chestnut so I think we could get away with it!

The only photo I have, apart from my terrible heels I love the Navy and Brown combo

I totally think it would work. My mum once had a navy blue VW with brown leather interior. Looked lovely so I'm sure you can apply that to your show attire :P

On another note, madamebonnie your horse is B-E-A-UTIFUL. Gorgeous.

I do, it took a while to grow on me, but i quite like it now :) i 'soften' it up with cream or beige jods;

Looks lovely with the brown tack! Mine is in black tack unfortunately which I think is why I'm hesitant.

I do have a pair of cream breeches which match one of my cream saddlepads - gold binding. So maybe that's the way to go. Perhaps I'll try it out at my showjumping this weekend instead!

I think for me, brown boots and navy is the only combination acceptable unless all black personally! Although I wouldn't really want to have black tack and brown boots I don't think. Just my personal feelings - no idea what is correct, I'm a show jumper we don't care :D

I just don't ever wear black so this has extended to my horse kit! I know it's not very traditional but I prefer a more modern look anyway. Next on my shopping list is a burgundy jacket.

Thanks all! Perhaps I will debut it at a show and then study my photos/videos afterwards to see how I feel about it :D As teddypops says, I think the black tack is my sticking point.

Or, I could just start saving up to buy the boots in black!
