I'm very pleased with my recent acquisition - the infamous pregnant gelding from my naughty spoof thread a while ago.
He was retired last year, and I took him on as a companion for Alf. He's forever cavorting round the field causing trouble, so I decided to see if he fancied coming back into work. Dragged him in from the field today, tacked him up and threw my crash test dummy aboard - and bless him, he was absolutely angelic, and thoroughly enjoyed his little hack round the farm.
I've been caught out by old horses having major tantrums about coming back into work, so we walked him round tacked up a bit first, and I led them for the first 5 mins, but he didn't put a foot wrong.
He has been a dressage horse in his dim and distant past, and obviously hasn't forgotten that he was once quite posh. I think he has a fan -crash test dummy is planning to make this a regular thing.
