If you have a registered BSJA pony, is there any option to ride in BSJA horse classes on a ticket, hors concours or something else ... to see if the pony is capable, can cope with striding etc, over the course of a few shows before committing yourself to making an official change?
I know it is possible to reregister a pony as a horse, but heard it was difficult to swap back. Or is it that a subsequent owner can swap back to pony classes, but not yourself?
Would be very interested to hear from anyone who has successfully changed a pony to a horse ... or indeed tried, and found it didn't work out.
Also, what would be the rules for doing low-level BE eventing on a pony ... is there the same distinction between pony and horse classes?
Pony is 147.6 cms, rider is rising 18!
