So, my o/h tonight has relieved some people of this little guy.
The story my o/h has been fed is they have lost their grazing and have tethered this poor little chap in the woods behind their house.
I am not easily shocked but for me this is truely upsetting as all the wee guy wanted was to be scratched and touched.
He is currently host to god knows what (lice etc) and is matted beyond belief.
His feet are shocking, he has no life in him, he has rubs from the chain he was tied to, and in fact looks almost ready to give up.
Tonight he has a stable, hay, water, and for him, most importantly he can hear others of his own kind.
A bit much for a baby to endure quite frankly.
These people have apparently tried selling him, giving him away, and were verging on just dumping him I fear, because every rescue they tried turned them away due to being full.
I now have the task of trying to put him right.
Both vets and farrier are coming tomorrow AM, and we shall go from there.
So for those Franchie lovers, maybe this will make you stop and think (at least I am HOPING it will!), you honestly dont need to go abroad to find "rescues"......they really DO exsist in the uk!
And so as not to leave you in any doubt, he looks worse in the flesh (or no flesh as is the case)
