Bu**er Franch. you can get THIS in the uk!!!!

Shocked doesn't describe how I felt when I opened this post!!!!

That poor pony!!! People and their excuses, it just beggars belief!!!

Well done to you and your OH for saving him from a horrible fate. I hope that improves daily, and quickly, and that you'll keep us updated with his progress.

My god

Poor little thing I think I would have just burst out crying if I saw him!

Quick stop in, vet and farrier are due at 10.
Will take some proper pictures once they have been.
JM there is a heatbreaker of a story with him but you are right, the vets fees etc will be more than any "rehoming fee" so no, the "franchies" would have left him to it I think.
O/H wants to call him Stig, for now as in dump, but when he is all better as in Top gear!
I think not!

O dear God

It beggars belief that someone could have let him get into that state

I bet underneath all that filth is an absolutely stunning little man

Look forward to seeing updates on him

I'm sure he will scrub up well now he's safe in your care (he's one of the lucky ones)
Fingers crossed vet will find nothing wrong but just malnourishment.
Will look forward to his updates

Gosh that has just left a lump in my throat, poor poor little mite, you even struggle to recognise what is is!

I don't know what to say, for once I'm speechless but thankfully he is in good hands now, I hope he picks up, recovers well and finds himself a lovely home if you are unable to keep him once he's fit to be re-homed.

All you can say is thank god your OH stumbled across him, truly heartbreaking looking at those pictures.

Poor little man

Good on you for taking him in and I really hope he starts to pick up soon with some TLC. You must take some pics when he goes out with your others as I bet his face will be a picture. I can't understand how people can treat an animal like this, just horrible.

I also thought Phoenix would be a good name
smile.gif

Bludi hell! Poor little lad. He is one lucky baby now. Hope farrier and vet can help make him more comfortable and creepie free.
Good on you and your OH for taking him in.

Think Little Stig would be a great name

Left me speechless with anger at the bastards who got him in this state

Definitely looking forward to your updates of the little lad's progress now that he is in loving hands
smile.gif

QR - My heart goes out to this little chap, along with everyone else, and such relief for him that you have found him. I will be looking for updates on him
smile.gif
I, too, like Phoenix as a name.

well done you for taking him in!!! i did actually think he was a dog for the split second i opened the post!!! i am staggered that people can let their animals get into this state!!!

hope the vet and farrier can help asap and do keep all posted i would love to see his progress.
lucky might be a good name or the lucky stig xxx

poor thing well done you for taking him on. How distressing the animal sanctuarys wouldnt take him, did someone ring the rspca or where they useless aswell? As for the frenchies, well if his picture was on their sites i can tell you he would have been rescued in a shot, whether sell on profit or not, much as everyone wants to slag these sites off they do help alot of desperate horses out there, the little ones go to a member over here who runs a sanctuary.

Have you reported these low-lifes, OP? The poor lad does indeed look ready to give up. Something that size could have lived happily in an oopen garden shed. There really is no excuse for that sort of neglect.

Poor Little Guy, how people can let animals get into that state is beyond me. Hopefully he will improve quickly and start to enjoy life with you.

I like the Names Little Stig or Woody (as he was found in a wood!)

is any action being taken against the previous owners? I know its callous as they found themselves in a difficult situation but there really is NO excuse for allowing the poor little sod to end up like this.

Good for you and OH for adopting him and fingers very firmly crossed that he comes through this well. Horses can be surprisingly resiliant, evn the tiddlers, so im hoping that in a few months time we can see some updated pics of him.

Poor little pony

But I suspect with only a couple of weeks of proper care and food, he will look completely different. I know these things do take a while, but you can definitely see a difference in their eyes and the way they hold themselves only after a short while imho.

Good luck with him, expect more pics in a few weeks
smile.gif

Jesus, those pics made me cry, how can anybody leave an animal to get into that state. Poor little fellow, what an awful start to his life.

Thnak heavens your OH found him and a great big well done for taking him in, let's hope to see a big improvement over the next few weeks, looking forward to seeing more posts about him.............

PS I quite like Stig as a name as well!

Please please post pics of him when he is out in company with
new friends so we can see him looking happy and feeling good...

I get so annoyed seeing this sort of thing as we humans are "supposed" to be the intelligent species, dozy bastards
mad.gif

OMG as others have said you can't even recognise him as a pony! Bought a lump to my throat.
Glad he is now safe with you. Please let us know how he got on with the vet and farrier when you get a chance.
Thank god for people like you and your OH for taking in these poor ponies.

Poor little mite.......... what scum people can be...........
crazy.gif

Don't worry too much about the feet, they'll come right very quickly. He has youth on his side at least.

At least he's safe now, and has a future, so well done to you.
smile.gif

And I really like Stig as a name.........
grin.gif

OMG - I cant believe how much this has upset me.
Poor little sausage - he is so lucky to now have you and your OH.
Best of luck with him, please keep posting about him, it'll be great to see his happy ending/beginnings!

I hope the people that let him get so bad rot in hell, there's always another option no matter how difficult any situation.
xx
