I need to buy a new LW turnout - I like rhino wugs and have the MW so was thinking of getting the LW version but then I saw Buccas rugs and they look quite nice too.

If it for wide chested native.

Anyone had any experience of buccas rugs?
 
Hmm, toss up between the 2 probably. I have LW rhino and it is excellent, my mare is cob x wb so fairly substantial in front. However, if you have a rug wrecker they aren't as substantial as Rambos.

My friend has the Bucas sunshower and it's a really tough rug. Her horse shredded his Amigo in no time but the Bucas is lasting well. I like the silver fabric as it reflects the sun on a warmer day. It seems quite roomy around the shoulders and I like the front fastenings. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the lining - it has mesh lining which can get 'stuck' on the horse and ride back a bit. My Rhino sort of floats on my horse and doesn't pull tight etc as it has a silky nylon lining.
 
Both fairly standard I think, my friends horse is in a 6'6 for everything and my mare is in her usual 6'3 for her Rhino.
 
I just bought a rhino and had to send it back as it was too small and thankfully they still had 1 6'6 left (it was on special offer!) I think its because its not an adjustible chest but im super happy with it!

I did want to get a bucas as well as you can put them on a wet horsey!
