Hi everyone :)

I'm currently try to bombproof swallow to everything I can think of...

she didn't even care :) she even walked off allowing the bucket to fall off her bum near her feet without batting a eyelid.Still finding loads more thing try and so far nothing fazes her

Ha ha! I was wondering where this was going, I was thinking homemade bucket jump wings (I'm slightly obsessed atm!) but this is waaay better! :D

Clever and very pretty Pone! Lovely name too :D

Bless :D

She's rather pretty :)
Thank you :) xx

Bucket jump wings ? sound amazing sorry to disappoint :p Thank you it was the name that she had when i bought her but suits her so well :)
she looks thoroughly unimpressed :) have you tried umbrellas?

That's probably because treats weren't being give at that moment :p

Yes tonight wasn't bothered i was holding it over her head and everything.
I forgot to mention iv'e also been getting her to put her hoofs inside the bucket too.

I tried that with my filly yesterday... She wasn't bothered but the mare along got frightened and it all went a bit pear shaped... Oops!

:D

She's lovely, and doesn't look bothered at all. You could try flags or, as a real challenge, put a pop up tent up next to her! I tested my new one out next to my mares field once, she didn't bad an eyelid. :)

Iv'e tried flags :) wow would love to try a tent !

have you tried tarpaulin, walking over it, and throwing it over her like a duvet, then asking her to walk on with it still on her.
walking into small spaces?
playing with a beach ball around her, and even very gently bouncing it off her bum, from a bit of a distance, just in case :)

She's had haylage wrap on her back and has walked round with it on haven't put it down on the floor tho neither with small spaces haven't tried the beach ball either :) thank you if anyone else has any other suggesstions i'd love to hear them :)

Plastic bags tied to arena fence or (if you're pretty sure she won't turn herself inside out!) to the stable door or somewhere just outside her door. (Gotta watch they don't try to eat 'em tho..;)) She's very pretty:)

My lad was fine and dandy with haylage wrap as it was associated with foooooood! (Cobs :D) but he was a bit worried by the tarp for a bit so I'd go with trying both. It might just be the different colour?

also, a bit of brightly coloured carpet, apparently they find it hard to get their head round the colour and the different feel of the floor, so just walk them over it see what she does :)
another one that you can easily get is a wheelie bin, wheel it around her, up to her, bash the lid, pull out plastic bags out of it, if you can get some glass bottles and put those in the plastic bag then pop that into the bin while she's standing next to you. just gets them used to the noise of the rubbish being moved around etc, very handy if you meet the bin man on a hack :)

she's not bothered about plastic bags in the school. I don't think she'd be scared of it near her stable but the rest of the barn might :o

I'll have to to try and find some and give it ago :) Everyone on my yard thinks i'm a crazy lady :D

thank you that's really helpful. can't wait to try these :)

She's lovely. I used to plant scary stuff in hedges! Once mine was ok with stuff in a controlled environment, I'd set up a booby trapped hack. Bags and brollies in hedges and such like. Was bomb proof til she was about 4.5 but then she turned into a scardy cat on hacks!

haha thank you i will put that on my list :)

Put a half blown up tyre tube on her back and lead her around and when it falls off make sure she stops, this will help her to stop if her rider falls off to prevent her running off and the rider being dragged.

Aw!! I love bombproofing ^^
Any excuse to bring out the videos!
