Hi all, looking for your always excellent advice again. How did I survive without y'all before I joined the forum??
Mare is quite lame on her near hind in trot. Does not really show in walk. I'm gonna put a poultice on and see if I can draw anything out. If not, then I'll need to go down the farrier and vet route, but fingers crossed a bit of rest and poultice will do the trick.
Anyhoo, I have heard of a few inexpensive poultice options. For example, I have heard of using sugar or epsom salts, or even table salt to draw something out. Apparently sugar was used back in the old days. Anybody used these? Any recommendations?
