Burghley 2022 Showjumping Thread

Just remember all horses sent to the holding box are examined by a vet who will then tell the riders their thoughts. I’m sure all horses sent to the holding box and then represented and passed were done on vet advice

Advice that can be ignored, and subsequently trotted up in a way to show off in a certain way.

That horse hasn't had a sj down since March of this year.
 
So thrilled for Piggy. She clearly thinks the world of her horse (as she should!) and how great is it to see a 17 year old mare win in such style.

I just caught up via iplayer and they didn’t show the trot ups but that round from Bubby Upton was uncomfortable to watch, 4 fences down for what is normally a reliable show jumper so I’m not surprised it wasn’t looking sound.

Top finishing riders all put in good performances, Tom Jackson rode a brilliant XC round.
 
GB have had a fantastic year, both Burghley and Badminton had GBR riders in at least the top 2 places. Shame about Kentucky but have a soft spot for Jung's riding so not too upset.
