So my last post saw us attempt our first BE100 at shelford manor, the plan was always to drop back to 90 for a confidence run so off we headed to Burnham market!!

Lovely late times meant a nice lie in followed by bathing and plaiting in full daylight for a change!! It just so happened that my jump instructor followed me in so it was lovely to have the company for the day and use his expertise in the course walks!

The dressage was WINDY!!! thankfully i live in the middle of nowhere so wind isnt an issue to us in the fens! He performed a sweet test considering ive barely schooled him since shelford and scored a respectable 33.8!

Onto the SJ... this phase did not go to plan at shelford with a whopping 6 down :( he's been feeling rather flat lately so ive changed his feed to try and give him more energy so i could at least have something to work with... it seems to have worked as he jumped his socks off for a lovely clear round.... our first this season we have suffered alot with 4 faultitus!!

XC... was big and bold just as i expected, it isnt really a phase i worry about with Beanz he's a bit of machine!! There were a few combinations, enough to test him and another horrible trakenher... i still hate these fences even though he doesnt bat an eyelid at them!!
All day he had been/always is very laid back and chilled out that is until the starter shouts 30 seconds at us and then we have spinning leaping and OMG WE ARE GOING XC!!! bless him i love how excited he gets! and as expected he completely stormed round for a stonking clear inside the time!! :D making nothing of the combinations or the trakenher!!

Turns out we managed to sneak a top 10 finish ending up 8th on our dressage score! It was tight at the top though with a mere 5 penalties between the top 8 of us!! Super proud of him, hes just so much fun!!

No pro pics as they were insanely expensive for a social media print... but here he is showing off his rossie

Next up for us is LD3 where we shall again attempt the 100... with the aim of simply lowering the SJ score! small steps!!

Congratulations on the top 10 finish :D

Fingers crossed for the 100, hopefully you're newly installed jumping springs will have you sailing round!

Ooh that is an awesome result and congrats on the placing. Well done. Nice the he gets so excited but only just before the xc so very containable and short lived! Best of luck in the 100.
