Are burst blood vessells a one off or are they likely to spring up again? A horse I know burst one in his nose racing and completely covered its jockey in blood, but has since been scoped and is said to be fine. However, does that now mean it is likely to happen again? Or are they just a one off subject to a virus or something? Just fancy some advice for peace of mind!!

May or may not happen again. He could have been slightly underfit and needed the run, had mild infection anything really. I have known one horse to burst terribly badly everytime he ran yet when trained off the field he was perfect! if scoped and no scarring is seen then there is a good chance it is a one off
