Buying a horse. Pay loaner or owner? Best payment methods.

Really hope it arrives very soon.

What a nightmare for both of you! Still, these things happen.

Once it's been sorted, you will soon forget all the hassle and just be able to enjoy your lovely new horse. :-)

Thanks. Shall still be on efge until it arrives. Otherwise plan b where she sends me a letter. I do feel so frustrated. Lesson learnt though. Money on day to owner or direct transfer. The problem with bank cheque is like it's sending cash in the post. I have no control to stop it.

Sounds like there is at least some control over the situation now op, so I'm really pleased as you must be so relieved that there can be no accusations against you now.

For the poster who decided to quote me, I didn't make any accusations, I simply put forward scenarios as this was odd from the start but If you go back to I think my first post, I defended the owner in not being present. The truth is, many things can happen so it's important to act quickly.

Thank goodness, what a relief for you all and has taught me to always pay cash on the day with a receipt or a direct bank transfer. Enjoy your new horse.
