It's a calculated gamble, personally I wouldn't discount the horse outright - but whether I purchased or not would depend on a variety of factors.
personally I wouldn't touch with a bargepole - any horse can develop one but one with sarcoids is more likely to develop more and there is a theory that they could be spread by flies to other horses.
I declined. For a couple of reasons. One the risk, having lost one to neurological problems last year - vet came out to look at a swollen tendon, didn't like the way the horse moved and one month later after investigations he was ptswhat did you decide to do OP did you buy the horse?
