Calmers - Tried and Tested

Have had no sucess with-
Topspec calmer
So Kalm
Hilton herb thing
nupafeed
B-kalm

Countless others- in short, havent found anything that works!!
 
I have had my horse on Blue Chip Karma for 1 month. I have to say, I am wondering if it has actually wound him up more, because he has been wilder than I have ever known him.....even though he has plenty of turnout, exercise, and limited hard feed with plenty of hay.
I wont be buying that one again!
Thinking of going back to Top Spec calmer which I was indifferent about.....or maybe trying Feedmarks's calmer. TBH it is hard to state whether a calmer works or not because there are so many variables.
 
i used the equine america one son gogs - the ones you give 2 hours before a comp - the one that was less concentrated ie you get 3 uses out a a tube ( i was told my the man to use 1/2 at a time on gogs) worked better that the one where you gave the whole tube in one go - this kicked in about 4 hours after i gave it and when we were going XC!! not what i needed!! but both had a great effect on the little hyperactive man - if you no him you will understand how well if worked to get out dressage the way it was at the 2 BE events we did!!
 
There is one on the market called Chill... I cant tell you what make but its sold in the saddlers at solihull... It contains ptriptophan (sp!) a human antidepressant lol... its legal etc contains no banned substances and honestly it worked for us

Also have found none that work!!!! He seems better on nothing!!!! Hes even been on 3 different calmers at once making NO difference! Have also found some made him worse! arghh!!!
 
I've just started my mare on one from equine america called mag-something?! basically magniesium. £15 for 108 days worth.

has anyone else tried it?
